"Fazer Pescar" Programme completes 17 editions and integrates, globally, 520 young people in the companies of the Teixeira Duarte Group in Angola


On the 16th of November, at the Teixeira Duarte Professional Development Center in Luanda, a diploma ceremony was held for the young people who completed the 17th edition of the “Fazer Pescar” Programme.
With this edition, “Fazer Pescar” exceeds the mark of 500 young people trained and integrated into the companies of the Teixeira Duarte Group since the Program was launched in 2013. The 18th edition is already scheduled for January 2023.
"Fazer Pescar" is an initiative within the scope of professional qualification, youth employment and social responsibility, in which all business areas of the Teixeira Duarte Group in Angola participate, and which aims to create employment opportunities for young people in situations of social vulnerability, training them to autonomously be a fundamental part in the development of their communities. The programme has a duration of 3 months, including a component of both social, company and work integration. The attendance is free of charge and the trainees benefit from daily meals, daily transport allowance, personal accident insurance, uniforms and clothes for individual use, school material and regular medical monitoring.

- 17 editions covering 45 classes
- 561 trainees
- 520 trainees integrated into Group companies after training (93% placement rate)
The closing ceremony of this edition of “Fazer Pescar” brought together trainees, trainers, guardians, representatives of the Teixeira Duarte Group's business areas and members of its Board of Directors. The delivery of diplomas was made by the hands of Dr. Manuel Maria Teixeira Duarte and, in the end, the trainees presented everyone with an original and inspiring musical moment.
