leads consortium to carry out the renovation and expansion of Salvador Airport
The consortium led by Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções, SA, received, on March 1, 2018, from the “Concessionaire of the Airport of Salvador, SA” – a company belonging to the Vinci Airports Group – the contract and respective service order for the execution of the “Engineering, supply and construction contract, with a view to carrying out work on, remodeling and expanding Salvador Airport, in Brasil. The estimated period of execution of the work is 20 months and the total value of the contract amounts to approximately R $ 600 million (Brazilian Reals) or 149,6 million euros.
This consortium, led by Teixeira Duarte in which it has a stake of 32.99%, has contracted the execution of the executive project, the construction of a new terminal and its respective boarding bridges, the construction of a building to connect the new terminal to the existing terminal, and remodeling of the existing terminal and improvement of the runway, landing strips and taxiways.
Brazil among the top three of the 18 markets where Teixeira Duarte operates
The Teixeira Duarte Group began working in the Brazilian market in 2006, since when it has maintained important real estate operations in São Paulo. It is a market in which the group’s performance in the Construction sector has registered important growth, reflected in the execution of several varied projects in different states throughout the country, in the fields of geotechnics and earthworks, as well as buildings, infrastructure and metal mechanics, including Unit 4 of the Niterói Hospital Complex in Rio Janeiro and the restoration of the Hercílio Luz Bridge in Florianopolis.
