Teixeira Duarte marks “Company Day” in Mozambique by honouring employees with 30 or more years of service

As part of the annual “Company Day” celebrations, and similar to what the Teixeira Duarte Group carries out in Portugal, on September 23rd, a ceremony was held to honor Mozambican employees who completed, this year, 30 or more years of service in the Group.
The event was attended by members of Teixeira Duarte’s Board. Nineteen colleagues were honoured, who today work in the areas of in Group companies in the areas of Construction, Facilities Management and Hospitality.
Manuel Maria Teixeira Duarte, Chairman, reinforced the purpose of this tribute, sharing with those present: “We wish to express the importance of the people who, at Teixeira Duarte, choose to be and to do, together, contributing to the building of a better Company, to the building of a better Mozambique, of a better world. To them, my congratulations and my gratitude, gratitude which extends to their families. We know full well that, without the support of their families, they would not have been able to be part of our Home today.”
The Teixeira Duarte Group began its activity in Mozambique in 1982, by participating in the tender for the repair of the bridge over the Zambezi River in Tete.
That was the first of many important projects carried out in this market, where Teixeira Duarte has maintained a prominent position, particularly in public works that have contributed to the country’s development.
This consolidated position has enabled the Group to diversify its activity into other business areas, such as Concessions and Services, Real Estate and Hospitality. As at 31 December 2024, the portfolio of Teixeira Duarte companies in Mozambique employed 700 people, corresponding to 8% of the Group’s total workforce.
