Maxi promotes AgroSummit Luanda and reinforces its commitment to national agricultural production

On 25 June, Maxi promoted AgroSummit Luanda 25, a benchmark event for the national agri-food sector, where the major challenges and opportunities for national production, financing programmes, certification in good agricultural practices and exports were debated.
The AgroSummit, which took place at the HCTA, brought together producers, entrepreneurs, political decision-makers and national and international experts, including thematic panels moderated by Carlos Rosado de Carvalho, networking moments and the sharing of case studies.
The event also saw the official launch of the new brand ‘Clube de Produtores Maxi’ (Maxi Producers Club), which replaces the previous ‘Fazenda Maxi’ (Maxi Farm), a pioneering programme created by the CND to strengthen national production by small and medium-sized producers through technical training, innovation and guaranteed outlets to different markets, promoting increased productivity.
At a time when Angola is investing heavily in diversifying its economy, the Agro Summit helped to reaffirm the role of this sector as an engine for economic growth, job creation and reducing food imports.
