Inaugurated this month, the Corte Real Building, located at Rua and Calçada do Ferragial, next to Cerca Fernandina, in Lisbon, has undergone deep rehabilitation works on behalf of Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções, S.A. Formerly a majestic palace, this 1,654 m2-building was in quite a degraded state. This is the second tourist project belonging to “Almaria – Edifícios com História”. After a 15-month intervention, the building currently comprises 15 apartments available for short-term rental – having different typologies (loft, T1 and T2), 6 stories, areas between 50 and 128 m2 and a total capacity of 77 beds.
The works involved interventions on a structural level, mixed structure slabs of concrete and iron, technical facilities and architecture including masonry, carpentry, iron metalworking, finishing, wooden floors, kitchen equipment, tile covering, zinc garrets, and much more.
The Corte Real Building positions itself in the premium tourist segment and is a true example of commitment towards preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the city.
