completes 16 editions
Last week, at its Professional Development Centre in Luanda, the Teixeira Duarte Group held a graduation ceremony for the 34 young people who completed the 16th edition of the "Fazer Pescar" Programme. Since 2013, this programme has trained and employed a total of 485 young people in the Group's companies.
Created in 2013, "Fazer Pescar" is an initiative within the scope of professional qualification, youth employment and social responsibility, in which all business areas of the Teixeira Duarte Group in Angola participate, and which aims to create opportunities for young people in situations of social vulnerability, training them to autonomously be a fundamental part in the development of their communities.
The programme currently has a duration of 3 months, including a component of both social, company and work integration. The attendance is free of charge and the trainees benefit from daily meals, daily transport allowance, personal accident insurance, uniforms and clothes for individual use, school material and regular medical monitoring.
The 17th edition is scheduled for the second half of this year.
