Activity growth in Portugal

The country's economic stability and public investment were boosting the construction activity, and Teixeira Duarte carried out large and important contracts in Portugal, in the areas of Geotechnics, Foundations, Rehabilitation, Underground Works, Marine Works and Railway Works, the latter later growing to new markets such as Morocco and France, where the Group did not operate.

In the Buildings area, Teixeira Duarte has carried out the construction and rehabilitation of all types of buildings, namely school, commercial and services, housing, industrial, and in the health area, including, therefore, public and private contracts. namely of large dimension and complexity.

In the area of Infrastructures, the companies of the Teixeira Duarte Group have carried out a vast and diversified range of works, namely roads and highways, bridges and viaducts, dams, tunnels, railways, railway stations and interfaces, port works, environmental construction and also water and natural gas infrastructures.

We highlight the rehabilitation of the Coliseu dos Recreios for the Lisbon European Capital of Culture and the construction of El Corte Inglês, both in Lisbon, as well as the construction of several hospitals throughout the country, from the Hospital of Viseu, to the Cova da Beira Hospital and the Barlavento Algarvio Hospital.
